A few days ago i told my friend that the ice cream was not good for him, and told him that it might create all sorts of problems. But after a chanced visit to the ice cream parlour i realized that, may be ice cream will not harm him at all, i only told him to maintain his limit on how much he consumes. But now he is down with a cold and feels that he may have done the wrong thing by consuming icecream. At this juncture i tell him that its not ice cream that's created the problem but the freezing coldness. He would not agree, but i insist. Such situations are very common now a days and have shaken most of us apart. The sad thing is we cannot blame any one thing for that. Take for instance my friend, its not the ice cream, but its the freezing coldness. But again its not even the freezing coldness, but its his decision to take it up. so who is to be blamed but he himself? he steers his ship, and when he goes into a tempest its better that he come out of it himself. But this is not often the case.A captain amidst a tempest has little choice to choose from. This is when the light house comes in, light houses like me who warn you not to venture out into the sea when the weather is rough, and light houses which steadily shine a thin beam of light, and an intense beam of hope, into the desperate captain, stranded in the dark tempest.
So when it comes to a person in a deep sad hole into which he finds himself, then its not his effort alone but the hands of a friend which is going to help him out.It requires team work, the guys effort and the friends hand. Without a friend, the hole turns into your grave, and with out the light the ship is obviously going to sink. As i said it requires a lot of people to work. Now such kind off team works lead to classification. we guys often hear things like "You know those guys are really good", "and those guys are awful bad". A friend today suggested, that classification is not a good idea. I wouldnt agree then, but now i cannot help but agree. Even when the river is deep and horrible, the sunset is always pleasant. would you not agree? Not all auto rickshaw fellows are bad drivers and not all writers are good.{My writing in itself is proof enough}
What makes us classify? It must be a general observation about someone belonging to a certain sect that must have triggered the hatred towards the entire sect. If an auto driver was bad then, peeps tend to conclude that all drivers are bad. Leave alone auto drivers, there are people who go to the extent of classifying the entire gender. Take for instance this other friend of mine, who thinks that the entire women kind is full of bitches, because his ex showed him the middle finger.
There is also this other possibility of people making a right judgement about you, and you not doing anything to rectify yourself. This girl i know, has always been doing things which others do not do. what shakes me is that, even when people try to help her out by being not so cordial to her, she does not understand. Now you might argue that , we people have to be as good to her as possible and let her be what she is. But then i honestly think that this will never work out. Altruism is so dead. I honestly think that the guy who first said "live and let live" must be killed. If people try to follow this policy then i can swear, that they will soon or later get killed. In this age you cannot survive without getting blood out of someone else. Right from that chicken that gave its life for that soup you had yesterday, to the terrorist who got murdered so that you can live safely.
Lets look at it in a more general perspective, everything requires a sacrifice, If i am using the computer today, its because there is a man out there who has not eaten in ages. how? simple, if he had eaten, then it means that he has got a job to earn money for food, and if he does have a work, then it means that i have to compete him, by working, like right now, this second. silly it might sound, but thats the truth.
Am i arguing for "taking the bad by the bad"? NO. why? because people are not completely bad, and neither are they good. That's because people are of a good sort to a few, and are of a bad sort to others. i hate the river because i feel that its deep and gloomy, but think of the swans...they cannot live without the river water, can they? so what is good for a few need not always be good to the others.
so what am i doing? merely complaining that the world is not and can never be the garden of eden. its more like the eden gardens after india has lost the match, chaos, pandemonium and a great sense of unhappiness.
