its been such a long time since i posted!! the biggest reason is because i am moving to our new house that is somewhere between proper madipakkam and proper velacherry. these twenty days have proved how depressing itcan be without the internet. for starts the computer used to remain in adyar and i travelled there everyday to work. but after we asked for a shift of telephone line the internet was gone and so we brought the computer here.
Mention about BSNL is a must here. within minutes of us submitting the shift of telephone line form our number was disconnected and all services removed and a recorded message saying that the number was being shifted was played. i was greatly surprised that BSNL was so fast and was better than most of the companies in the private sector. but alas the sad truth of realty came out when we called our local exchange. "Saaar, no cable sir only WLL we can give cable line only after three months ...WLL line after one week only saar ....." yeah.... yeah.... the all too familiar voice of customer service .And yeah its been ten days so far after i called and no response as yet.
so how am i posting this post?? am i in one of those shaddy internet parlours where people are watching things in bits and pieces??? no, i am posting from my laptop.:). yeah thats right i got myself a new DELL INSPIRON 1525, its got wifi, blue tooth, and yeah, windows vista.the first thing i did was, i dual booted it to Ubuntu.
After living for over twenty years in adyar (i am twenty one) its rather strange to move in to a new locality and even more strange to live in an induvidual house. we have employed a series of high security doors guarded by Navtal 9 levers lock, that make getting into/out of the house an affair similar to entering the pentagon. what, with me having the key for the door, my sister that for the grilled door and my mom has the key for the main gate and my dad has the key for all the rooms.
Reliance Big experience has finally happened to us we ordered our big Tv a week ago registered five days ago got a call from a person saying he would be there 5:30 sharp and its been three days since that call. its one Big experience alright.
and on other notes a dog adopted us. thats right he ...no no ...its a she ..decided that we were the perfect hosts. so she walked into our house one day got fed by mom with some thaiyr saadam walked in at the night and guarded the house till morning, decided that it will do night shifts in our place and after a week decided that it will do day shifts as well. and it really does not care if the gates are locked or not, its a great athlet and scales 6 feet high walls. so dinesh, revs you all better get ready i am going to join the gang of "people who blog about dogs which adopeted them".:P(yeah i will write a series of post).
barcamp chennai happened. was fun. and i took my laptop :P with nothing installed in it. anyways will write a whole new post about it later on.
now to the point the reason why i am rambling so much is because, this october chaos budha with a single 'd' enters its third year. at this jucture i would like to thak all its past readers who are not reading it anymore and all its present readers who have found nothing to read of late. i would also like to welcome all its future readers who will find profound wisdoms of chaos budhism (again with a single 'd') from rants such as these. Deepti and paddy if you girls are still reading this then please upate your blogs, you were my inspiration you know.
