Kausikram on code, music and life.

>MY 'swim' to coll

>With heavy rains trashing outside and nothing else to do for the next four or so hours .......I am here in front of u all ........the day started wet ..... I thought it was my sis giving me my last wake up call using a mug of water, only later did I realize that it was too early for my sis to perform this exercise it was 5:30 am....the next moment I realized that it was the rain along with my alarm clock that woke me up .....I had my univ prac today and had an uneasy sleep (for obvious reasons) ..........the rains did not in any way hinder my early morning activities, I was ready by 7:15 as usual and was out of the house .....only to find myself facing an unconquerable lake of rainwater blended with domestic waste and sewage (yuk!!).....I always try to conquer the unconquerable ,am a Leo you know .....I waded through the pool like a hunter in the Amazon ......and 15 tiring minutes later I conquered one of the most dangerous terrains a man can live upon.........and ya I was jus in time for the bus .........with a broad smile on my face I was looking at the college chariot (that’s what is written in the bus) it was but sailing or should I say white-water rafting through the flooded pot-holes of LB Road ( the smile is because I am usually late 4 the bus and on such a day turning on time for the bus is really a great feat)...
The bus journey was as usual ....Mr.Dhuraipandiyan was sleeping as usual and the guyz were having fun as usual....we arrived at college to find the place inundated with water .....the new boy's park ( or what ever they are planning to call it) looked like a swimming pool ....it looked like mvm had turned a new leaf over night and had provided the hostilities with a new swimming pool to take bath, the boyz liked the idea and started having fun in the water ,after all the water was fresh from the sky, it was not the same stinking recycled water which they get to take care of their every need ;) ........I learned from good old munuswamy that the college prax were postponed HOD who is actually found along with munuswamy informed us of the new datez .......just when I was convincing myself that this was the first decision the HOD had taken himself he blurted out that it was Ms.Jebamalar who decided on the dates .....so much for the HOD's decision making ability (some people do not change)......The bus was slated to start of in one hours time so I had some twenty more minutes to fool around the college ....the CAD lab was the nearest destination and the comps inside wore a welcome look so ....in the very next second I was in front of one of them .....the Internet for the first time in the history of velammal was running .....and when I enquired about this (considering this, a rarity in India during rains) good old lab attendant explained to me that the LAN in velammal works only when there is heavy rain .....

the return journey was as usual ..guru was at his prime self ....he started out on his newfound passion of eating ( of late he has been eating anything and everything including my heads;) ) this time it was a poor juniors lunch box ....the box was emptied in no time .....as fast as minnal used to walk in mayee ( remember, mayee vanduruka ga ....mapila mokachami vanduruka ga .......) [ I am really sorry if my similes are getting bad ]....even this did not bother me ....but what really bothered me was that, this small encounter he had with good food, made him have a stomach ache....the bugger was burping all along .....IT HOD was unusually active during our return cruise ..he actually spoke for five whole minutes before getting back to his favorite position to doze off ......

so lessons learnt from todayz experience

1. never wake up on a rainy day
2.never be in time for the bus
3.never sit alongside guru when he has just finished roti's
